Dr. Ioannis T. Karapanagiotidis is Associate Professor in Fish Nutrition at the Aquaculture Laboratory, Department of Ichthyology & Aquatic Environment, University of Thessaly, Greece. He holds a B.Sc. in Agriculture-Animal Production (Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece), M.Sc. in Aquaculture (University of Stirling, UK), PhD. in Fish Nutrition (University of Stirling, UK) and special training in Aquaculture & Aquatic Resources Management (Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand). He was a scholar of Greek State Scholarships Foundation and was awarded by the European Commission (PTS Program) for conducting doctoral research. His specialization is “Fish Nutrition and Aquafeed Technology” and he teaches for many years courses such as “Fish Nutrition”, “Aquafeed Technology” and “Aquaculture”. He has supervised and was a member of an advisory committee on a variety of undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral theses (108 in total). He teaches in 3 Postgraduate Studies Programs. He has been a researcher, work package leader and principal investigator in many research programs (25 in total). He is a member of several scientific and professional societies (European Aquaculture Society, Greek Aquaculture Platform, Greek Geotechnical Chamber etc.). He is a referee and editorial board member in many international scientific journals and conferences. He has 37 publications in SCI international journals, 95 papers in national & international conferences and 3 chapters in books, h-index = 13, citations=435.
